Duties: Functions in a leadership role within the Admitting Department. Assists in interviewing and hiring of new employees. Organizes training/orientation schedules for new hires. Completes performance appraisals with in 30 days of employee’s hire date. Completes schedules at least 30 days in advance. Assists with the development and revisions of departmental policy & procedure. Ability to work side-by-side with employees as a coach and a mentor. Accountable for attendance, punctuality and Kronos tracking/trending. Prepares/maintains spreadsheets/department tracking. Organization and ownership of staff meetings. Identify and address employee issues independently or with the assistance of the Patient Access Manager. Trouble shoots issues and problems which arise throughout daily operations. Acts as a liason between other departments, internal and external. Orders supplies as appropriate. Covers for other Team Leaders for PTO, absences.
Requirements: High School diploma / or equivalent. Communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal). Keyboarding (minimum of 35 wpm). Prior Patient Registration, Scheduling, or Health Insurance background is required. Basic Medical Terminology knowledge. Computer skills required.
